Important call to MA artists of all disciplines by Artists Under the Dome
We are asking that all Massachusetts artists of all disciplines sign up for the free Artists Under the Dome listserv.
This year there are several pieces of state legislation we are monitoring and we will need everyone’s help to pass the legislation that is helpful to artists. They are listed on the Artists Under the Dome site.
With your help last year, the governor listened to our community and vetoed a bill that would have made artist co-op housing illegal. Unfortunately the bill was refiled! This year we will need to show up in force for the hearing for this bill. We will alert folks via the AUD listserv when we need artists of all disciplines to show up at the State House for the hearing and also when we need artists to call and write their state legislators.
So please spread this request onto all the Massachusetts artists you know! (that means writers, musicians, performers, craft artists, etc..).
